These are respondents who were asked if they would prefer to queue in their car, by themselves, with a small group of people, by themselves, at a station with no special facilities, or a station with large enough queueing capacity that could accommodate all waiting people.
Aarhus University's Mapping Mobility-related Behaviour (MASMB) research team found that a clear majority - 68 per cent of respondents said they would prefer to queue at their home or a hotel as compared to the average of 47 per cent.
Slightly more than 40 per cent of respondents said they would queue in a large restaurant, shop or public place, including restaurants, pubs, bars, convenience stores, coffee shops and supermarkets.
Some 25 per cent said they would queue at a large shopping mall, while 15 per cent said they would queue at a shopping mall near their home. Some 11 per cent said they would queue in an event centre or entertainment park, while just three per cent said they would queue in a shopping centre or other public place.
Around 22 per cent are willing to queue in a park, while 10 per cent were willing to wait in a waiting area with seats at a crowded place in train or bus.
When asked what they are doing with their leisure time, 19 per cent said they were having a social life, while 21 per cent said they are doing things that involve their motor planning and control, while nine per cent said they have hobbies and would like to continue doing them.
One quarter of those who like queueing would take transit, while three in 10 would walk, per cent use bicycles and six per cent could not be reached.
